Getting To Loreto
Delta flies daily from LA to Loreto. Alaska, Aeromexico, and Contenental
fly periodically. If costs are significantly less to fly to La Paz and
you have time, take the bus 5 hours north from La Paz to Loreto. We can
help arrange that.
Getting To Pacific Surf Camp
Bus or car are the best options.
The drive is approximately 500 miles, or 10-12 hours. The last 5 miles
to camp are unpaved. The drive is predominantly pristine desert, and well
worth the trip in itself. Four-wheel drive is not necessary. A compact
car can be rented in San Diego for Baja driving for about $55.00/day.
See California Baja Rent-a-car.
Or you could fly into Tijuana and rent a car for somewhere around $35/day.
For that approach, we recommend good Spanish communication skills, experience
with international travel, and a sense of adventure.
Busses from Tijuana cost about $35-$50. There are 2 per day and they
take about 11 hours. A Greyhound shuttle from San Diego across the border
to the Tijuana bus terminal is $12.
Flying into Guerrero Negro is another option. Flights come through Hermosillo
or Mexico City.
