We do drills on land and identify what engaging the core actually feels like. Some games make people laugh, but they really do get folks to engage those larger muscle groups and feel it. When you get back in the kayak, you know what you?re shooting for.
What would you like to be better at in your kayak? Chances are good that engaging your core will help. Speed, stamina, boat control, edging, handling rough seas. Paddling with your core helps reduce injury and leaves you more energy for the long haul.
